Are you looking for something a little different to do with the kids this summer? Why not hire a vw California from Manchester airport and take the family to one of the new family friendly festivals.

Here’s a new date for your summer festival diary. One Tribe Festival will be descending on the spectacular grounds of Cholmondeley Castle in Cheshire this August just a short journey from Manchester.

Created by a small gathering of like-minded, music lovers from Manchester as a response to the commercial beasts that currently monopolise the UK festival scene, all proceeds from the five-day, 24-hour music and arts extravaganza will go to The Green Paw project, an animal rescue and rehabilitation charity aiming to raise £50,000 to build a wildlife sanctuary in Malawi.

A host of world renowned DJ’s and performers will descend upon the scenic setting in Malpas, with six stages backed by over 30 heavyweight collectives including Freerotation and Illuminaughty. The stages will cover a broad range of musical genres from world tribal, folk, jazz, funk, reggae and acoustic, to drum and bass, house, techno and psytrance. Acts already confirmed include Juan Atkins, DJ Hype, Mobius Loop, Wild Marmalade, Gaudi, and Move D.

One Tribe has a capacity for around 2,000 people, with family camping, circus workshops, arts and crafts, and fire shows for the kids, and a stunning forest setting that will provide the perfect retreat for yoga, meditation and holistic and alternative therapies. Guests will be invited to bring an instrument to join in one of the huge, unplugged musical jams that will take place every night around the fire.

Designed for the spiritually and musically conscious, One Tribe is the brainchild of the founders of Audio Farm, well known for their legendary electronic nights at Manchester’s Sound Control, Islington Mill, Antwerp Mansion and the infamous Dugout Area at Festival Number 6.
Festival director Ste Chesters said: “If you are local to Malpas, a lover of diverse world music, love art and culture, have a family, want to avoid corporate festivals whilst giving profits made from your ticket money to charity, then this August come and be part of One Tribe as we grow, learn and push back our horizons.”
August 3rd-8th 2017, Beeston Drive, Malpas SY14 8HD. Tickets from £95 for the full five days.
