6 – 8 April 2017: The Randox Health Grand National Festival 2017.

Once again the world will stop in its tracks, as 600 million people watch live on television. 40 horses and jockeys will line up to race across the famous fences including Becher’s Brook, Canal Turn, Valentine’s and The Chair.

You could be at Aintree to witness the drama unfold in person and to watch the hero come through at the end.
From the Tattersalls enclosure, the balcony of Amberleigh House, or as the horses flash past the Winning Post outside the window of the Princess Royal Restaurant.

12 April – 15 July 2017: Tonight at Noon – Celebrating the Mersey Sound

A series of events and exhibitions are to take place in Liverpool to celebrate the 50th anniversary of one of the most influential poetry anthologies of all time. The Mersey Sound by Liverpool poets Adrian Henri, Roger McGough and Brian Patten was first published in May 1967 and is one of the world’s bestselling poetry anthologies.
To mark this special anniversary, Tonight at Noon (named after the first Adrian Henri poem in the collection) will shine a spotlight on this incredible piece of work which captured the mood of the Sixties and brought poetry down from the shelf to the street.

15 – 16 April 2017: Liverpool Food, Drink and Lifestyle Spring Festival

It’s the Food, Drink & Lifestyle Spring Festival 2017, and our 3rd year is set to be bigger and better than ever. Foodies won’t be disappointed with the wide variety of sweet & savoury stalls and those who love a tipple will be well taken care of too! Our spring festival features a lifestyle area full of local arts & crafts. Visit our funtastical area for the children too. Bring the entire family along for a jam packed weekend. We’ve got a new site location beside the Marie Curie Fields of Hope (at the end of Elmswood road opposite Aigburth people’s hall) in Sefton Park – family friendly and easy to navigate!

19 May 2017: Light Night Liverpool

This is an arts and culture festival, designed to illuminate the city, for just one night.

Friday, May 15, from 4pm until late.
There are events for older children taking place on Brown Street.

There is the Earth, sound and fire at 10am -10.30 pm
This is a reformation into Liverpool’s loudest most vibration drum ensemble, launching on light night joined by Brazuca. Plus lots of other fantastic arts and culture events for all ages.
