This town is a popular tourist destination, being situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, with many literary and cultural associations.

Your 4th day begins with a drive in your campervan up to Londonderry or Derry as it is called by the Locals. The London is in front due to the fact that in 1613 it was granted a Royal Charter by King James I and gained the “London” prefix to reflect the funding of its construction by the London guilds. Derry is the only remaining completely intact walled city in Ireland and one of the finest examples of a walled city in Europe. The walls constitute the largest monument in State care in Northern Ireland and, as the last walled city to be built in Europe, stands as the most complete and spectacular. After a day exploring this fabulous place it’s time to make your way south to the capital of Belfast.

After catching a fantastic nights sleep in the Carrickfergus area just north of Belfast ready for your day trip round this fantastic city. Park up your campervan and take a trip round the historic dock yard were the most famous of liners the H.M.S Titanic was built over 3 years starting in 1909. This city is also famous for one of the greatest footballers ever George Best. George was born in the east of the city in 1946 and became part of the famous Manchester United team that dominated European football in the 60’s the airport in Belfast is now named after him.

Your last day in your vw campervan head down from Belfast back into Dublin ready for your ferry back home. Spend your day in the heart of the city take a trip down the River Liffey or visit the world famous Guinness factory to sample a tipple(make sure you only take a sip) the factory has been producing since 1759 and is still going strong today. After visiting the sights and sampling the local delicacies it’s time to board your ferry back to the UK.
