It’s almost time for the Isle of Man TT spectacular. This year’s event starts with practice week on Saturday 26th May with the final race being on Sunday the 8th June. The event draws in almost 50,000 fans every year and is popular with bike fanatics and those that just love a good 2 weeks away. And what better way to spend your two weeks away than in a VW Campervan where you have no over inflated hotel expenses.

Pick your campervan up from either our hire depot in Bootle or Liverpool Airport and head to the ferry terminal in Liverpool city centre situated at Pier Head just behind the Liver Building. Here you will board the HSC Manannan. This is a 96-metre (315 ft) wave-piercing high-speed catamaran car ferry which was built in Tasmania in 1998. After being used commercially in Australia and New Zealand, she was chartered to the US Military as USS Joint Venture. This car ferry now operates a seasonal service between Liverpool and Douglas.

After you have arrived in Douglas, plan your route by the prom overlooking Douglas Harbour. Decide which direction you want to take north up to Ramsey or south to Port Erin. Whichever way you go you will be mesmerised by this little gem in the middle of the Irish Sea.
The TT races have been going for over 110 years now and are still going strong with even more fans expected at this year’s event.

Find a nice spot either deep in the countryside or by one of the secluded beaches and watch the day drift by as you enjoy your campervan. Our campervans are ideal for getting round the rugged mountain roads and narrow coastal road.
